FeelGood Communications Intern
Fall 2024 Internship (August 15 - December 15, 2024)


The Hunger Project (THP) seeks a FeelGood Communications Intern to join our Investor
Engagement team. This internship is open to currently enrolled or recently graduated
university students.


Position Summary:

FeelGood Program!


The Hunger Project seeks passionate, creative, and adaptable individuals interested in
supporting our work to create a world without hunger. This is a part-time, remote spring
internship with a paid stipend. This is an opportunity for individuals eager to actively learn
and participate in many facets of a global organization's project management,
communications, and special projects that will support the stewardship and expansion of our FeelGood program through communications and social media. This position will work closely with our FeelGood Program Officer.
 

Specific responsibilities include:


Content Creation
● Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading content for various communication
channels, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and social media.
● Help create engaging and informative multimedia content (graphics, videos,
infographics) for use across digital platforms.


Social Media Management
● Support the management and monitoring of social media accounts (e.g., Facebook,
LinkedIn, Instagram) by scheduling posts, responding to comments, and analyzing
engagement metrics.
● Contribute to the development of social media campaigns to promote events,
initiatives, and key messages.


Public Relations
● Assist and support the coordination of media or student interviews.


Event Support
● Assist in planning and executing Fall Event - FeelGood events content and social media
posts.


Research and Analysis
● Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage to
support communication strategies.
● Compile and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns
and provide recommendations for improvement.


Administrative Support
● Help maintain communication calendars, contact lists, and media databases.
● Assist with general administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes,
and organizing files.


Collaboration
● Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure consistent
branding and coherent messaging across all communication channels.
● Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and training programs to
enhance skills and contribute ideas.
● Build relationships with THP staff, vendors, investors, other past/present THP interns,
and FeelGood students - past and present.
● Other administrative duties and projects as assigned by the FeelGood Program Officer.


Preferred qualifications:
● Must be located in the United States and have reliable internet access.
● Current part-time or full-time student at an accredited college or university.
● Must be able to commit to 12-20 hours during the business week. No weekends.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong editing and proofreading skills.
● Desire to learn, grow, and embrace or generate new innovative ideas.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.
● Self-generator with strong leadership and social skills. Must be able to work
independently and take ownership of your time, space, and projects.
● A team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to contribute whenever needed.
● Knowledge of standard business applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google
Docs.
● Preferred knowledge of Canva and other graphics programs is a plus.
● Experience working across cultures and multiple language skills are a plus.
● Commitment to THP’s values, including understanding and compatibility with our

Compensation: $600 per full month. Half months will be pro-rated.
Time Commitment: 12 - 20 hours/week; Preference will be given to those who can work during regular business hours. No weekends.
