Job Summary:
Boston Dynamics is looking for a highly motivated new graduate who wants to be a part of our Engineering Development Program. During the program you will rotate through 6 different engineering teams over an 18 month period. All of these rotations will be in support of our world class Stretch and Spot product lines. Applicants to this position should be continuous learners that want to interact with customers, manufacturing, support teams, and various engineering disciplines to bring our exceptional robots into people's lives. At the end of this program you will have a full time position on one of our Field Applications engineering teams.
Engineering Rotations:
- Manufacturing Engineering (3 months)
- System Test Engineering (3 months)
- Project Engineering (3 months)
- Spot Field Applications Engineering (3 months)
- Customer Success Engineering (3 months)
- Warehouse Field Applications Engineering (3 months)
Key Responsibilities:
- Individual Contributor with the ability to learn and engage in multiple engineering disciplines.
- Learn the communication flow between the customer, technical support engineering, systems engineering, and product management.
- Adhere to technical check lists and transition from contract execution, to automation engineering and design, customer training and acceptance, and onto support engineering.
- Ability to distill problems into technical level documentation via work instructions, run sheets, or technical debug guides.
- Strong problem solving skills to identify system roadblocks, isolate the root cause, and move a solution forward to keep our timelines on track.
- Lead Customer demonstrations, trade show interactions, and pilots.
You Must Have:
- A student completing Bachelors degree between December 2024 and December 2025; Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics or Interdisciplinary Engineering is preferred.
- Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.
- Technical Internships, club leadership positions, competitive sports, and/or military leadership service.
- A positive attitude and passion for getting hands on and supporting the team in bringing our products into production.
- Strong Communication skills in both spoken and written form.
- Ability to rapidly learn a new discipline in a fast paced, quickly changing environment.
