Instruction & Technology Coach Secondary Social Studies (Middle or High School)

Salary:

  • $60,000-80,800
  • *Plus a $2000 Retention Stipend to be paid in October

Work Duration: 

  • 183 Days
  • 7.5 hours / day
  • Extended summer employment may be required

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop and model effective research-based teaching practices and utilization of technology in the classroom to facilitate learning for students and adults, including but not limited to:

  • Assist with development, monitoring and revision of curriculum maps, instructional materials and curriculum assessments
  • Assist school and district level personnel in planning and delivering professional development
  • Cooperate with principals, teachers and other Curriculum & Instruction staff members to affect horizontal and vertical articulation throughout the district
  • Perform tasks needed to implement the district's Long Range Strategic Action Plan that supports curriculum, instruction and technology
  • Analyze school and district level data using applicable data from various technology/data management systems

Certification / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Louisiana Teaching Certificate in grade level/content area aligned with the supported grade level and content/subject
  • Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate - Type `A,' `B' or `C'/ Level 1, 2 or 3
  • Ability to provide professional learning sessions for adult learners
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience in grade level/content area aligned with supported grade level and content/subject PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of content area aligned with supported grade levels and content/subject assessment design and proficiency in technology PREFERRED
  • Ability to foster effective relationships with all stakeholders
