POSITION: Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Subject Matter Expert
LOCATION: Quantico/Stafford area
STATUS: Full-time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Knowledge of data analytics using Artificial Intelligence disciplines such as Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Predictive Analytics.
- Ability to produce automated visual decision support tool that enables Marines to make data-informed decisions about prognostic and preventative maintenance across the USMC.
- Experience in capturing demand for supplies; optimizing maintenance operations; improving maintenance readiness; increasing material availability; and influencing lifecycle sustainment.
- Experience with transfer methods, such as Wireless Fidelity (WIFI), Light Fidelity (LIFI), Bluetooth, tactical military radios, and Iridium Short Burst Data.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and techniques.
- Citizenship: US. Citizen.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% to support client meetings and requirements.
- Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong problem-solving skills; Ability to explain highly technical subject matter to decision makers in a time-constrained environment. Ability to work independently or with a team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Client Familiarity: Familiarity with the Department of Defense and United States Marine Corps.
- Tools Familiarity: Azure Machine Learning Studio.
- Preferred Training: Familiarity with Jupiter and Advana.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Provide data analytics using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models to support Marines.
- Deliver subject expertise, guidance, and insight regarding the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Languages tools, solutions, and processes.
- Execute AI/ML solutions as a subject matter expert involving AI/ML/Data Analytics, reverse engineering/enhanced functionality of technology transfer, software development, security, critical asset protection, and integrated network solutions.
- Work with transfer methods, such as Wireless Fidelity (WIFI), Light Fidelity (LIFI), Bluetooth, tactical military radios, and Iridium Short Burst Data.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to collect, clean, and preprocess data for analysis.
- Design and build scalable AI solutions that can handle large volumes of data.
- Create AI algorithm prototypes based on project specifications.
- Execute tests to assess AI performance.
- Analyze data gathered during tests to identify strengths and weaknesses of AI.
- Implement changes to algorithms to improve AI performance.
- Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies.
- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
- Test and evaluate models using appropriate metrics.
- Work collaboratively together with technical leads and program managers to pinpoint problem areas and create plans of action that will improve AI/ML performance goals and results.
