The Pastoral Care Intern loves God and loves people. As a pastoral care intern, you will minister the love of Jesus through our words and actions and are the heart and hands of Jesus. The mission of pastoral care is to ensure we provide attention while caring for the sick, lonely and hurting. This includes helping people with issues surrounding grief, prayer, illness, loss, and joys such as starting groups and baptisms. This experience will be tailored to your individual needs to help you identify and develop the gifts God has given you to build His Kingdom.
Basic Requirements:
- Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior- This is a requirement
- Have a servant's heart and be ready to jump in and serve
- Eager to meet new people and build relationships

Responsibilities/Opportunities:
- Assist Care Team in meetings, projects, events, and groups
- Host a support group or lead a team
- Share in home or hospital visits
Some examples of projects include:
- Event planning and execution including Celebrations of Life, GriefShare, food distribution, Baptism Sunday
- Group formation and leadership as opportunities arise
- Outreach projects with local nursing homes
General info:
Expect to be on the Real Life campus at least 2 days per week and work 15-20 hours/week.
Typical hours would be Sunday 8:30 am - 1:00 pm plus 10 - 15 additional hours Monday-Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm as arranged with your mentor. Must be flexible to hours outside of these hours with appropriate notice.
This internship is 12 weeks long September 9, 2024, to December 6, 2024, with the week of Thanksgiving off.
Pay: $150.00 per week
