The Division Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) is Comet’s largest division and a global leader in developing and producing high-performance Vacuum Capacitors, RF Matches and RF Generators for the semiconductor industry.

 

What will you do?

In this internship role, you will:

· Assist in verifying BOMs (Bill of Materials) in the SAP system.

· Assist in creating assembly and test directions (OMS) to support NPI and production personnel.

· Participate in the development of production tools/fixtures.

· Learn various component/parts evaluation processes.

· Participate in capacity and resource planning for the production lines.

· Actively participate in the motion and time study of the products and processes.

 

What are the working details?

· This internship is targeted for the 2024 summer break period and may have some flexibility depending on individual Student Intern requests and availability.

· The internship will last approximately 3-months (up to 6-months based on Company needs and Student Intern availability).

· Working hours are flexible (generally within normal business hours, but can be flexible based on Company need and Student Intern availability)

· To ensure effective collaboration, communication, training, team interaction, continued project alignment, and optimal Intern learning experience, this role will be performed on-site at Comet location in San Jose.

· Working hours per week are estimated minimum of 20 hours per week up to 40 hours per week if desired by Intern.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking Internship candidates who:

· Are university student in Sciences/Engineering.

· Have previous experience in SAP system highly desired.

· Possess excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize projects and process multiple tasks.

· Enjoys working with people and cultures.

· Good team player with good interpersonal communication skills.

· Have strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mind-set, is diligent and accurate.

· Is self-motivated and flexible individual, able to function in a high energy, fast paced team environment with minimal direction.

 

Pay is $25/ hour. The internship dates are flexible depending on your school availability.
