Calling All Girl Bosses Videography Intern

Are you looking for an opportunity to do meaningful work, support an important mission, and get hands-on experience working with an iconic brand? Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP), a top ten Girl Scout Council in the country, is looking for a Videography Intern to document and promote our new Calling All Girl Bosses initiative.

Calling All Girl Bosses was developed by GSEP as a blueprint to give Philadelphia girls in grades 6-12 the skills they need to identify a community problem and Take Action to find a solution. Driven by passion, determination, and a desire to make the world a better place, over 350 girls will make real changes in their neighborhoods while working towards the highest awards in Girl Scouting.

Calling All Girl Bosses is organized around 12 three-hour workshops that will take place on Saturdays from 10:00am-1:00pm during the 2024-2025 school year. Facilitated by GSEP staff and volunteers, each workshop will be an opportunity for girls to build relationships and gain leadership experience while practicing important skills like project management, problem solving, and effective communication. The program culminates at the GSEP Girl Expo in May 2025. More information about Calling All Girl Bosses is available here: https://www.gsep.org/en/get-involved/calling-all-girl-bosses.html

GSEP is seeking 3-4 Videography Interns who will be “on the ground” at each workshop, getting to know girls, documenting their journeys, and highlighting their projects. The internship will allow you to gain hands on experience in filming, producing and story boarding, as well as editing.

Each Videography Intern will follow an individual or group throughout the program as they explore issues, develop a solution, and Take Action in their communities. Interns will capture footage, conduct on-camera interviews, and edit the footage into a 3-5 minute video documenting the girls' journey. These videos may be aired at GSEP’s Girl Expo in May 2025 in front of 3,000 attendees. In addition, interns will be responsible for creating at least one piece of social media video content per month (30-90 second Instagram reels) to be shared on GSEP’s and our partners’ social media.

Most filming will take place during the Saturday workshops (1-2 Saturdays per month) at locations throughout Philadelphia. Interns will be required to attend at least 10 workshops (workshop dates can be found here under “workshop details”: https://www.gsep.org/en/get-involved/calling-all-girl-bosses.html). Interns will be expected to be editing and creating content between workshops, but will not need to come into the office.
