Science Educator I

$19.76 per hour

On-Call; scheduled for 19 hours/week or less

 

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) mission is to inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. Join our team as a Science Educator I and be a part of igniting an education transformation at the intersection of science and technology that spreads opportunities across the Northwest!

 

The Science Educator I engages guests in meaningful, relevant, and thought-provoking activities, demonstrations, and conversations—with an emphasis on visitor driven-inquiry—as they explore OMSI’s halls and labs during evening hours and special events.

This position provides supervision and support to volunteer staff, and they are responsible for understanding and following safety protocols and emergency procedures.
