Entry Level Field Inspector
The PMCM team in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Field/Construction Inspector (entry level) for utility infrastructure inspection. This position would involve the verification of water service line materials for Lead and Copper Rule Compliance. The Field/Construction Inspector will report directly to a Construction Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect water service line materials to verify presence of lead.
- Communicate with Contractor, Utility, Design Team, and Public regarding project status and address any concerns.
- Review conditions in the field, anticipate issues, and coordinate with Owner and Contractor when conflicts occur.
- Prepare Daily Reports and Testing Documentation per project requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil. Interest in the field of civil infrastructure construction inspection (water/wastewater, transportation - DOT, roads and highways)
Experience: Previous construction inspection internship highly preferred. Relevant experience in water and/or education in utility installation inspection highly preferred.
Certifications, Licenses: EIT license for degreed engineers.
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Awareness Training preferred or must be acquired within 30 days after start date.
