Speech Language Pathologist

  • Assesses patients of all age groups (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics), develops, plans, and implements an individualized therapy program for each patient.
  • Assessment and treatment of:
    • aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and cognitive/linguistic defects from stroke, brain tumor or trauma
    • traumatic brain injury patients experiencing cognitive/linguistic problems
    • laryngotomized patients and voice disorders
    • cleft palate and fluency disorders
    • speech and language disorders 
    • dysphagia
  • Completes Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies in coordination with Radiology Department
  • Evaluates, records, and reports on patient's progress.
  • Conducts in-services and/or participates in training medical and nursing personnel and other workers in speech-language pathology therapy techniques and objectives.

Plans, coordinates, and supervises graduate students in speech pathology for internships in the service
