WS - Office Assistant (Science Center)
Description: The Habeger Science Center is home to science and math faculty and courses, in addition to faculty and courses from CLI, Sociology, and Honors/History. If you are majoring in DAD programs, we will try your skills in creating scientific illustrations for research publications.
Main job duties: Applicant must be comfortable answering phones and have good phone/office etiquette to assist the office of Habeger Science Center. Students must become familiar with Science Center faculty and assist with building security. Students must maintain confidentiality, and be courteous, dependable, and extremely accurate. Computer skills must include Microsoft WORD, Excel, Publisher, or any DAD programs.
Occasional duties: Occasional duties include creating posters, brochures, and scientific depictions for research articles. Daily work duties include answering the phone, assisting the secretary and professors with tasks, and running errands around campus. Applicant must be comfortable with unexpected visitors, expected visitors, answering phones, and taking messages. There may also be online or hard copy correcting of tests and quizzes for professors, making copies, and scanning requested items.
Skills/Coursework Required: Some office and customer service experience is helpful. Digital Arts experience will be a plus.
