Car Dealer Business Development Manager
Description
The Car Dealer Business Development Manager (CDBDM) is responsible for cultivating and maintaining profitable business relationships with OEM franchise automotive dealerships (including local/regional OEM management personnel) within the assigned geographic territory. The CDBDM will help to transform and mature the CDC Customers through program and training support in sales and marketing strategy and tactics, operations, and inventory management for the tire category. The CDBDM will focus on both the expansion of overall customer portfolio and loyalty (SOA) at existing CDC Customers. The CDBDM will serve as the primary contact for all CDC Customers within the assigned geographic territory.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively engage and grow current and prospect customers ensuring penetration for all new Car/Truck Dealers
- Ability to hold monthly and quarterly business reviews with key decision makers to show ways to grow their business with TBC Corporation, drawing out fact-based propositions
- Active involvement in sales forecast and purchase demand forecast
- Demonstrates strong account management skills, cultivating productive working relationship with customers, vendors and internal resource partners, working closely with Logistics management teams, Sales Operations and Finance departments
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain channel
- Ability to use Salesforce.com to increase interaction with customers and grow their Book of Business
- Develop customized business plans and present to customers
- Must meet and exceed established sales metrics and targets
- Facilitate dealer training opportunities and strong presentation skills
- Actively facilitate authorized vendor programs and internal marketing programs with customer base
- Demonstrate in depth product knowledge for proper recommendations
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. Business, Sales or Marketing preferred or 3+ years of related business experience
- PC proficient, with emphasis on CRM tools(Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- 3 years proven sales experience
- Automotive, tire experience or other transferrable sales skills
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to convert or transition leads into profitable sales
