Supply Chain Associate
We are looking for a Supply Chain Associate to join the Inbound Logistics team onsite in Bethesda, MD. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods throughout our network. You will work closely with various departments withing the company, as well as external partners, to ensure that shipments are delivered on time, within budget, and according to any business rules or compliance requirements that exist. Your primary responsibilities will be for building shipments, providing tracking updates, ensuring accurate data, resolving issues, providing excellent customer communication, and resolving any issues that may arise. You will report to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Inbound Logistics.
You will
- Coordinate the transportation of goods from domestic suppliers to the distribution centers by processing purchase orders, and by evaluating routes and modes to optimize cost and efficiency
- Process and approve purchase orders generated by Supply Planning team/systems
- Maintain shipment data w/in ERP/TMS to enable up-to-date status and visibility to freight in the network
- Assist with the development and provide weekly KPIs to leadership (# of loads, timeliness, # of exceptions, etc.)
- Identify, scope, and drive improvement/optimization efforts which have a cost, time, or labor savings benefit
- Audit freight invoices and work through any challenges associated with Freight Audit & Payment workstream
You will come with
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex situations and make sound judgments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks, including the appropriate prioritization of tasks.
- Strong data analysis, written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional group.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, WMS, TMS, ERP, MS Excel, MS Power Point
