Information Technology Assistant (Entry Level) - Information Technology

Now hiring for Fall!   

Typical duties include providing in-person technical support and troubleshooting on computers,  printers, and selected software to the public; monitoring incident tracking software for support incidents; installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software for public lab systems; and other support projects. This is an ideal position to build your technical support skills and gain experience working with computer systems. Training is provided! Work Study award students encouraged to apply.


Number of Openings: 1-2
Hourly Wage Rate: $13.00 (Work Study Welcome!)
Hours Per Week: 8-12 hours
Schedule: Between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays, flexible; morning availability preferred
Job Duration: Academic year only (Fall & Spring semesters)
Preferred start date: Fall 2024 Semester (applications will be reviewed ASAP) 


Required qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suites, basic networking principles, and basic computer hardware themes and concepts
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • A desire to work with students, faculty, and staff in professional environment


Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience working within IT
  • Experience in training others on technical topics
  • Prefer freshman or sophomore level student
  • Experience working with Macs
