Embedded Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The embedded software engineer selected will be part of a dynamic team and should be well versed in embedded software development. Applicant will be tasked with designing and coding software for various microcontrollers including ARM and PIC architectures. In addition, the successful candidate must be an independent thinker and can debug and troubleshoot software, write, and maintain documentation, and preferably have experience using a git repository to maintain code.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The software engineer must have demonstrated competence in:

C Programming language
IAR Workbench for ARM or Microchip MPLAB X IDE or equivalent
Embedded software development
Attention to detail
Ability to understand technical specifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Four Year BS Degree in Applicable Area & 1 Year of Internship or Experience or
3-4 Years Direct and Applicable Experience with some college level courses completed
Applicant must be currently eligible to work in the US, as we are a US Government contractor

Familiarity and/or experience with the following are a plus:

Design & development methods
Serial protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, 1 Wire
FreeRTOS
ARM architecture
Creating/following development plans
Creating/following design input requirements
Verification/validation activities
Customer interfacing
Unit testing or QA experience
Root cause analysis and diagnosis
GIT
