Product Specialist Intern
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
With nearly 60 years of experience in developing high-performance plastic components, igus® inc is at the forefront of innovation. We are now seeking a passionate intern in product management group to develop & grow with us. The position will focus on motors and drives for our linear bearings products. Become a part of igus® and help build a digital, innovate, and sustainable future with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn about stepper motors, BLDC motors and drive systems for linear motion products and help support igus’ customers and sales teams.
- Assist with applications engineering and problem-solving
- Set up test stands and machines
- Learn about our innovative expert systems and online tools where our products can be used within applications to innovate, reduce costs, and improve technology
- Conduct research to gain valuable insights into the marketplace for motors and drives
- Collaborate with the marketing department on departmental initiatives
- Participate in training programs about our products and services
- Work with international colleagues to exchange information and ideas
- Learn valuable project management and customer-facing skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong technical skills: able to understand technical concepts
- Strong mechanical aptitude for hands-on assembly work (setting up test equipment, assembling linear systems, etc.
- Student in Electrical Engineering is required
- Self-starter; motivated, team focused and results driven with developed organizational, and time management skills
- Interest in the manufacturing industry
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office
