About Love for Lane County: Love for Lane County is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to serving our local community, with a primary focus on supporting single mothers fleeing domestic violence and others in need. Our mission is to provide practical assistance, education, and resources to empower individuals and families, fostering a sense of hope and stability.
Position Summary: Love for Lane County is seeking a creative and passionate Storyteller Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in non-profit storytelling, communications, and community engagement. The Storyteller Intern will help capture and share compelling stories about our work, the value of our volunteers' time, the resources we provide, and the impact we are making in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce content that highlights the impact of Love for Lane County, including stories of individuals and families served, volunteer experiences, and community investments.
- Conduct interviews with community partners to gather impactful stories and testimonials.
- Assist in creating multimedia content, such as videos and photo essays, to visually communicate our mission and successes.
- Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Writing, Media Studies).
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging and emotionally compelling content.
- A passion for non-profit work and a commitment to the mission of Love for Lane County.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Basic photography, Canva, and videography skills are a plus.
