Contract Research Assistant, DMPK

The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at Genentech currently has a contract opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assist in research projects focused on the roles of drug transporters in the disposition of drugs utilizing cell-based assays and complex in vitro systems in the Drug Permeability/Transport group. Primary responsibilities include maintaining cell culture, designing and conducting in vitro experiments, and data analysis.


Qualified candidates should possess a B.A./B.S. or M.S. degree in biological sciences or related discipline with 0-3 years of research experience. Tissue culture proficiency is required. Experience with molecular biology techniques and/or organoid culture is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data in group meetings are highly desirable.


The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, independent, and a self-starter. The person must be able to work in a team environment, collaborate with multiple researchers on various aspects of the research projects, and meet timelines efficiently and productively.
