Donor Relations Intern

About Love for Lane County: Love for Lane County is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to serving our local community, with a primary focus on supporting single mothers fleeing domestic violence and others in need. Position Summary: Love for Lane County is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Donor Relations Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in non-profit donor relations, fundraising, and community engagement. The Donor Relations Intern will support the development team in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, ensuring they are appreciated and informed about the impact of their contributions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of donor recognition programs and events.
  • Help manage donor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Draft and send thank-you letters, emails, and other correspondence to donors.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Conduct research on prospective donors and fundraising opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create donor-related content for newsletters, social media, and the website.
  • Provide support in organizing and maintaining fundraising materials and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of donor reports and impact statements.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g., Non-Profit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, Social Work).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with learning new software.
  • A passion for non-profit work and a commitment to the mission of Love for Lane County.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
