Logan County Health Services(LCHS) is comprised of a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a Rural Health Clinic, and provides staff for the Mitten's Urgent Care Clinic. We are located in Northwest Kansas, serving patients in Oakley, KS and surrounding communities. LCHS boasts a beautiful state of the art Rehabilitation and Wellness Center which houses outpatient therapy services and offers community access to indoor work-out and aquatic facilities. Logan County Health Services is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team!
As a full-time OT, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain function, and improve their independence and quality of life in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- New graduates encouraged to apply!
- Possess or be eligible for state licensure
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Desire to develop autonomy in your practice
Job Description:
- Completes evaluations and provides treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
- Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient schedules, and timely documentation of services.
- Assesses and evaluates therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and develops individualized patient/caregiver goals accordingly.
- Provides purposeful and skilled intervention using therapeutic procedures and techniques to promote change in condition/function consistent with the plan of care and patient goals.
- Instructs patients in the skills and techniques required for participation in functional activities or work-related tasks and evaluates patient progress.
- Performs routine reexamination as needed/required to modify or progress plan of care or treatment.
