Communications & Marketing Coordinator (Website and Social Media)

  • Website: Maintain www.mowwp.org. Check site’s “health” & security status, update items as needed. Create and post new information, images, and new links, check existing links work, create new and/or remove old web pages. Research sources of funding or corporate/professional in-kind donation of service for redesign of the website.
  • Social media: Maintain MOWWP’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Repost, like & comment on posts from other MOW & anti-hunger programs, etc. Create and post new items. 
  • Produce a “Social Media is a Leadership Function” training tool for MOWWP Board members. Review board member profiles for Executive Director to provide feedback. 
  • Write copy (ex.- press releases, social media posts, letters, post card mailings, etc.) and short pieces descriptive of MOWWP activities for publication in our Electronic (Monthly objective) or printed (seasonal objective) newsletters, and “stock copy” for later usage or submission.
  • Produce electronic newsletter (Summer issue[s]) and send out using Mailchimp.
  • Time permitting, under the direction of the Executive Director, write and submit proposals for funding to corporate & foundation donors. May involve donor research prior to writing to assess criteria used in judging submissions.
