Postdoctoral Fellowship - Clinical Psychology
The Cook Children’s Post-Doctoral Fellowship program in the Psychology Department provides full-time employment designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic. The position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, generating treatment recommendations, and conducting evaluation feedback sessions. Fellows will be working with a broad range of patient populations, ranging in age from 0-18 years with a multitude of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Education & Experience:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical psychology training program.
- Training in child growth and development is required.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice.
- Prior experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
- Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist (preferred but not required).
- Must have the educational background and training to function in the capacity of a psychological extender of services under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
