U240037 - Standardized Patient Educator/CPM2 Coordinator - Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity to work as a Standardized Patient Educator/CPM2 Coordinator in the Clinical Competency Center is available at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. As a Standardized Patient Educator/CPM2 Coordinator you will perform a variety of functions to support the Behling Simulation Center and the Clinical Practice of Medicine (CPM-2) course. In this role you will:
- Utilize a working database of clinical cases, standardized patients, and clinicians involved in clinical assessment.
- Recruit and train standardized patients for the purposes of assessment and teaching.
- Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of clinical assessment evaluations.
- Develop and modify standardized patient cases and assessment tools such as checklists, patient perception surveys, and post station notes.
- Ensure that students, participating educators, and faculty preceptors receive the information necessary for CPM-2 class activities.
- Manage information posted in UB Learns and UB Box used to assist students and faculty preceptors.
- Assist in the coordination of weekly small group sessions and communicate expectations to students.
- Post weekly quizzes in ExamSoft, publish results, and track grades .
- Send out evaluations in MedHub to students and faculty preceptors in order to solicit feedback on student and faculty performance, lectures and small group sessions.
- Coordinate activities for formative skills exam sessions, written exams, and clinical skills exams.
