Position Summary
The Grants and Sponsorship Intern will provide valuable support to our organization's Grants and Sponsorship department. You will assist in researching funding opportunities, developing grant proposals, coordinating sponsorship activities, and contributing to donor stewardship efforts.
Responsibilities
Research and Prospect Identification
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Maintain a comprehensive database of potential funders, including their requirements, deadlines, and funding priorities
- Analyze eligibility criteria and align funding opportunities with the organization's mission and programs
Proposal Development and Grant Writing
- Assist in drafting and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and related documents
- Collaborate with team members to gather relevant information and data for proposal development
- Ensure timely submission of proposals, adhering to guidelines and requirements
Sponsorship Coordination
- Support sponsorship activities, including prospect research, outreach, and relationship management
- Develop sponsorship packages, proposals, and benefits in collaboration with the team
- Assist in fulfilling sponsor agreements, including logo placement, recognition, and deliverables
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support, such as meeting coordination, calendar management, and file organization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the organization's donor database or CRM system
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other materials as needed
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a high school, bachelor's, or master's degree program related to business, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field
- Strong interest in grant management, fundraising, corporate sponsorship, or nonprofit development
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the organization
