We're continuing to grow and would love to find the perfect addition to our team! We are looking for a highly motivated physical therapist possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to an ever-changing, energetic, and dynamic environment. We pride ourselves on our team and family environment emphasizing a strong work/life balance while providing bi-monthly clinical team meetings.
In this position, your responsibility will be to provide interventions toward achieving the highest functional outcomes for each patient, in accordance with physician’s orders, the Physical Therapist Practice Act, current EBM, and the state regulations. Mentoring also available to new grads with a structured 1:1 program 1 hour every 2 weeks for 1 year.
PerformaX caters to Burbank and Glendale residents of all ages and orthopedic conditions, injured workers of the studios (Stunt performers, pre/post production, etc), BUSD, the City of Burbank. Wellness, Golf, Vestibular and TMJ Interest is also a HUGE plus! We have a wide variety of MD referral sources, so it keeps the work load interesting.
Payscale competitive and productivity is 12 patients a day (2pt/hr), 60 a week.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
Preferred Education:
- DPT, OCS a plus
Licensure/Certification:
- License in good standing with the Physical Therapy Board of California
Preferred Experience:
- One to Two + years work experience as a PT in outpatient orthopedics

Other:
- Be able to treat patients utilizing the most current evidence-based medicine to restore function
- Knowledge of basic PT administrative management practices
- Ability to motivate, involve and engage teams
- Knowledge of medical practice information systems, including hardware and software for scheduling, billing/accounts receivable and electronic health records systems (Prompt is our EMR)
- Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic, high energy level creativity
-Able to train and oversee PT Aides and PTAs
- Bilingual (Spanish/Armenian) individual preferred, but not required
WORKING CONDITIONS
Performax is a 4000 sq ft, large, open floor plan designed outpatient clinic. Involves frequent contact with other staff. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive. May be required to work occasional weekends or evenings, unless hired to only work Saturdays or with a Saturday rotation. Working under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director of Therapy.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Requires sitting, bending, reaching and standing for extensive periods of time. Requires ability to handle physical demands of the work including lifting and restraining patients. Requires eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity sufficient to operate calculator, computer keyboard and telephone. Vision must be corrected to 20/20 and must be able to distinguish colors. Hearing must be in normal range. It is necessary to view computer screens and type on a computer and to work in an environment that can be stressful.
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time will be considered. Saturday work is also available or only working Saturdays is an option for a part-time employee.
