Summer Intern (Office Administration)

The Office Administrator handles and manages front desk/reception tasks for the organization; including incoming and outgoing mail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Opening, organizing, distributing and scanning incoming mail and faxes
- Outgoing mail
- Greeting, signing in and escorting all office visitors and vendors
- Maintaining the conference room schedule and appearance
- Notifying staff of any deliveries including packages and/or lunch
- Distributing of office supplies
- General administration tasks
- May be assigned other duties as are deemed necessary
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to sense the importance or impact of issues and take appropriate actions.
- High School Diploma preferred
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Sitting at workstation for prolong periods of time. Extensive computer work. Workstation may be exposed to overhead fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Fast paced work environment. Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, and fax machines.
