Sales & Marketing Internship

Sales & Marketing Internship (3-6 Months)

Tasks:

  • TALENT for TASCHEN intern will work closely with TASCHEN America’s Director to assist in formulating sales and marketing strategy as well as learning the overall business to help promote and sell TASCHEN book titles.
  • Focus on generating new qualified opportunities for Account Managers and Store Managers by only doing outbound prospecting activities based on TASCHEN Sales and Marketing Strategy
  • Specializes in prospecting inactive companies not already engaging with us to source new, incremental opportunities and pass them on to account managers
  • Supports up to 5 Account Managers, under Director as direct report
  • Develops this new business, from lead generation to the initial sale 
  • Prepares reports and communicates the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to department director
  • Forecasts and tracks lead title and key account metrics 
  • Researching, identifying, and prospects in specific territories 
  • Provides sales and marketing support as needed for directors  


Profile:

  • Located in Los Angeles
  • Affinity with arts, architecture, interior design, pop culture or fashion
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Outgoing, ambitious, and flexible with excellent communication & presentation skills 
  • Able to work well within a team and independently
  • Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office and Excel (knowledge and proficiency with advanced excel functions including VLOOKUP, IF, and Pivot Tables a huge plus)
  • Studying for BA level or equivalent and/or relevant work experience in sales, marketing, or PR.
