00000425407 Electrical System Design Engineer

The Boeing Company is seeking a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Mid-Level and Senior Level Electrical System Design Engineers who will provide engineering support across the Boeing portfolio of products, to include – but not limited to - Boeing Military Aircraft, Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C, AWACS, C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, KC-767, B-1B, B-2, B-52 and others). This position will be physically located in Oklahoma City, OK. 
 

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.

Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

 

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

 

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):  

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

2 or more years of experience in an engineering job classification

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

Education or experience in Electrical Engineering

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months

5 or more years of experience in an engineering job classification

9 or more years of experience in an engineering job classification

 

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

 

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for (Associate level): $73,950 - $100,050. Summary pay range for (Experienced level): $89,250 - $120,750 Summary pay range for (Senior level): $111,350 - $150,650
