iOS Lead Developer/iOS Engineer

Dream Catalog is looking for an iOS developer to help squash bugs and release new features for thousands of creative users for our flagship product, a mobile app called Loop (https://loop.lol/).

Loop is a short-form video social media mobile app (iOS only) very similar to Vine. We're focused on finding someone that's passionate about making social media social again, believes in creativity and wants to build something fun for people to express themselves.

Responsibilities:

  • You'll be leading this project as the primary developer, so discipline, focus and engagement is essential for success.
  • Securely wrap our database and API to ensure user information privacy and protection.
  • Lead bug-fixing efforts within our existing Swift codebase.
  • Design, develop, and implement new features using SwiftUI and other relevant Swift frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough testing and iterate on features to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • Work effectively with minimal oversight and manage your time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest iOS development trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-12 months of experience in iOS (Apple) mobile application development using Swift.
  • Proven experience with secure data handling practices and API integration, preference for applicants that have experience with NodeJS.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices for clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience with SwiftUI and other relevant Swift frameworks (e.g., Combine, URLSession).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for fun social media and short-form video content is a MAJOR plus.
