Collections Investigator Supervisor
Collections Investigator Supervisor positions supervise and train Collections Investigators in collecting and investigating delinquent accounts; handle highly complex or sensitive delinquent debt cases; review legal packages for appropriate legal documents; maintain records and prepare reports; prepare and refer cases to the City Attorney's office, then monitor, coordinate and assist with the cases, as required; and perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
You must meet the following requirements on the date you apply, unless otherwise indicated.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of full-time experience performing debt collections and investigations on charged-off accounts with a collection agency, financial institution, law office, or government agency.
NOTES:
- Clerical support; accounts receivables, and bookkeeping experience are NOT qualifying.
LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver's License is required at the time of hire.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Experience and/or knowledge in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and California's Rosenthal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
- Completion of college-level coursework related to civil litigation process and procedures.
