Student Researcher(4) - Snow lab

Student researcher for biomolecular microcrystal engineering and confocal microscopy
From 5/20/24 (pending background check) - 7/26/24

Duties:

· Molecular cloning

· Protein expression via E. coli cell culture, sonication, centrifugation

· Protein purification via chromatography, dialysis, centrifugation

· Crystallization experiments

· Crystal stabilization via chemistry (e.g. disulfide bonds)

· Confocal microscopy of fluorescent crystals

· Microscopic evaluation of luminescent crystals

· Disulfide bond engineering

· Lab organization and cleanup

· Writing standard operating protocols (SOPs) and training junior personnel

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
Payrate: $15 per hour
