Student researcher for biomolecular microcrystal engineering and electron microscopy
From 5/20/24 (pending background check) to 7/26/24

Duties:

· Molecular cloning

· Protein expression via E. coli cell culture, sonication, centrifugation

· Protein purification via chromatography, dialysis, centrifugation

· Crystallization experiments

· Crystal stabilization via chemistry

· Crystal stability trials

·Scanning electron microscopy for crystal size

·Mass spectrometry to assess chemical modification of biomolecular crystals

· Lab organization and cleanup

· Writing standard operating protocols (SOPs)

 

Hours: up to 30 hours per week
Payrate: $15 per hour
