Pay: Starting at $12/hour
Job Description:
The Center for Academic Resources (CAR) is seeking highly motivated and reliable students to provide course-based tutoring for undergraduate students at UW Oshkosh. As a tutor, you will be responsible for assisting students academically by providing support and guidance for specific course material.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for students in a specific course
- Provide academic support and guidance to help students better understand the course material
- Assist students with reviewing, exam preparation, and study strategies
- Keep your availability accurate
- Attend training and professional development sessions
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Center for Academic Resources
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at UW Oshkosh
- Must have earned a minimum grade of B+ in the courses they are interested in tutoring
- Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Previous tutoring experience is a plus but not required
- Must receive a recommendation from their course instructor

Training:
- Prior to the start of tutoring, all tutors will be required to complete training, consisting of online/self-paced training and 2 hours of in-person training to help equip and prepare you for the role.
