Business Skills

Requirements

• 1-10 years of relevant work experience required with a history of academic excellence (financial services and/or management consulting experience strongly preferred)
• Although not a developer role, a strong aptitude for technology is required. This may be demonstrated in several ways including prior development experience (e.g. Python, Java, SQL, XML/XPath, etc.), related educational degrees/certifications, and/or hands-on industry system configuration/implementation experience
• Ability to interface directly with C-level executives and senior client management
• Direct experience in managing clients, customer relationships, and/or sales/marketing
• Capability to think independently and creatively to solve time-sensitive challenges

Desired Skills and Experience

• Prior technical experience implementing software packages such as Advent Geneva, Broadridge Paladyne, Black Mountain, Charles River, Enfusion, Eze, Investran, Salesforce, VPM, Workday HCM/Financials, etc. within a financial services firm
• Previous experience at a consulting firm or extensive experience working in a project orientated work environment
• Strong business analyst skill set including process improvement/re-engineering, data analysis/reporting, process flow diagramming, and writing (business requirements documentation, design documents)
• Exposure to business concepts such as scenario analysis, budgeting, business development, vertical integration, returns on investments, and negotiation
• Project management experience, including defining and controlling complex project scope, timelines, issues/risks, and managing technical resources
• Advanced exposure to Office productivity suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint) and experience creating executive presentations, industry white papers, and financial/operating models
• Project management using MS Project or similar applications
• Knowledge of core data concepts using SQL, data analysis in Excel, and presentation software

Educational Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar program with cross-disciplinary exposure to both finance/accounting curriculum and information technology topics.

Any other undergraduate degree with an equivalent level of work experience at a top consulting firm, hedge fund, private equity firm, global bank, or industry service provider.
