Manufacturing & Operations Engineer

 

Pay & Benefits

o  $30.00 – 50.00/hr depending on experience

o  paid vacation, two (2) weeks accrued at a rate of 0.83 days per month

o  five (5) days sick leave

o  Yearly bonus based on company performance and personal bonus objectives

o  Health Insurance reimbursement via HSA

o  $250 USD total per month for individuals, $500 USD total per month for families

o   

Experience: five (5) years minimum

Education: Minimum 4-year technical Degree from Accredited University

Physical:

Able to lift 75 lbs. Physically fit, can work outdoors in inclement and hot weather conditions. Can work 12-hour shifts.

Stability and Reliability:

Arrives to work on time, solves problems on own initiative, recognizes when help is needed, and requests help appropriately, organizes own work, and uses initiative to complete assigned tasks, recognizes and completes routine work (shop cleanup, organization, tool upkeep, with minimal direction) Travel up to twenty-five (25%) of the time.

Skills:

Simple Electrical/Electrician Design

Advanced Mechanical Design

Knowledge of metal manufacturing procedures, methods, quality control and inspection

MS Office, Autocad / Solidworks or equivalent is preferred

Aids in inspection of Customer Facilities and produces inspection reports/sketches/drawings

 

DUTIES

 

Project Management:

Leads daily scrum meeting to coordinate actions between all functions of the company

Coordinates projects with manufacturing lead and office manager to achieve project timelines and budgets

Manages vendors, controls purchase orders with office manager, implements price comparisons

Manufacturing:

Utilizes lean manufacturing practices to improve operations on manufacturing floor

Implements new manufacturing machines, techniques to improve product performance, quality, cost

Participates in design reviews for new projects to ensure plans are reasonable and manufacturable

Quality:

Implements manufacturing work instructions for all finished goods products, Conducts labeling review for all products, Works with office manager and design engineering to improve and implement stock taking and inventory, Work with design engineering to improve test procedures and factory acceptance test procedures

Lead ISO 9001 application
