Junior Systems Engineer

As the Junior Systems Engineer, you will join an expert team of engineers that are responsible for operating on the back-end services at a Fortune 50 company in the Philadelphia area. You will be troubleshooting and rebuilding systems on the Core Network Services team. The Junior Systems Engineer will have strong communication skills and Linux experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technology
  • related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience (prior college internship experience or equivalent experience)
  • Strong Linux experience
  • Python experience
  • Experience with working at a large-scale environment--(more than 2 servers, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • DNS/NTP knowledge/experience
  • Querying big data

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute efforts to support internal systems and tools in order to improve overall
  • consistency and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot various issues to ensure the tool is able to take in the information and perform properly.
  • Help rebuild systems and add capacity using automation tools.
  • Interact with various teams and stakeholders throughout the organization.
