Global D&I Project Specialist Intern
Job Summary:
As the Global D&I Project Specialist Intern, you will play a crucial role in assisting the organization in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. You will collaborate with the D&I team to develop and implement programs and strategies that promote diversity and inclusion across all aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Program Support:
- Contribute to the planning and execution of D&I initiatives, events, and training programs.
- Provide oversight on key program elements by tracking and follow-up with participants/vendors.
- Assist in creating resources for employee education on D&I topics.
- Leverage event management and project management skills to plan for and executive on several events.
Communication and Outreach:
- Assist in drafting internal communications related to diversity and inclusion.
- Support efforts to engage employees in D&I-related activities and initiatives.
Employee Resource Group (ERG) Engagement:
- Collaborate with employee resource groups to provide support for their programs.
- Assist in creating resources for employee education on D&I topics.
Research:
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices related to diversity and inclusion.
- Provide research support for D&I projects and proposals.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program.
- Strong interest in diversity and inclusion issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or experience in diversity and inclusion, sociology, psychology, human resources, or related fields.
- Previous involvement in D&I initiatives or student organizations.
- Understanding of cultural competency and sensitivity.
