COORDINATOR, SALES PRICING & STRATEGY

THE RUNDOWN 

Playfly Sports is looking for a Coordinator, Sales Pricing & Strategy to join our team in New York, NY.  

The Coordinator, Sales Pricing & Strategy for the Sales Pricing & Strategy group (SPS) will have multiple responsibilities. They will focus on political sales order entry, posting and tracking campaigns consistently and in a timely fashion, managing reporting and communication with agency buyers and assistants in support of the Political Account Executive (AE) and Client Service Representative (CSR) during the heavy political advertising season. They will be expected to develop a solid understanding of all Playfly Media Integrated Linear & Digital offerings. They will directly report into SPS, where they are responsible for regularly updating ratecards, maintaining inventory and exclusivity trackers, compiling approved rates, and completing other ad hoc reports. They will assist in posting and stewarding across our existing linear and digital deals.   

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH  

  • Send updates out to sales via email/slack, contact members of the SPS team when various updates are shared internally/externally, and perform various other administrative updates for the Sales Pricing & Strategy team
  • Update inventory tracker and exclusivities tracker as needed
  • Update ratecard with new rates/ratings weekly
  • Compile approved rates to provide to sales teams as needed
  • Update and send out VPVH (viewer per viewing household, demo skews) actuals weekly
  • Own administrative responsibilities in the SPS group
  • Work with Political Sales Team to enter and maintain political orders
  • Receive and enter orders from clients into WideOrbit
  • Sending order confirmations to Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) and clients
  • Collect commercial traffic instructions and ad copy from buyers and send to stations
  • Ensure that television stations have payment before an order runs (Cash In Advance)
  • Work with internal finance team and ad buyers to identify, research, and resolve all billing discrepancies
  • Pull weekly political competitive activity reports
  • Collect invoices from RSNs, assist with reconciliation process, and ensuring that all commercial spots ran
  • Streamline posting and stewarding process
  • Assist integrated media sales support staff with any overflow responsibilities if possible
  • Perform Sales Pricing & Strategy data collection and reporting
  • Compile data sets, conduct data collection, and provide reports relating to large negotiations
  • Participate in the testing and development of new systems
  • Assist with overflow work coverage
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Basic media math knowledge (or the ability to pick up this knowledge quickly) is preferred
  • Logical reasoning skills are necessary
  • Must have excellent computer skills, be proficient in Microsoft Suite, and possess strong data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships is required
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a proven ability to work both as a member of a team and indvidually
  • Experience working in Wide Orbit would be a plus
  • Proficient in multi-tasking, while remaining organized and diligent
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of processes and our business

  • Primarily works in a quiet professional office environment

COMPENSATION 

The pay range for this role is $45,000 to $50,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
