Chesterfield County Public Library (CCPL) is seeking a part-time Senior Administrative Analyst to join its team of innovative, forward-thinking professionals in providing engaging information services to a vibrant and appreciative community. Minimum Qualifications:
 • Possess a bachelor's degree in mass communication or a related field.
 • Three years of experience in professional-level administrative, analytical and/or operations support, preferably in fundraising, report writing and program development, implementation and evaluation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
 • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
 • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a variety of people from different backgrounds.
 • Strong technical writing skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently and meet deadlines; critical thinking and analytical skills.
 • Ability to operate a personal computer and related software including database applications. Ability to operate office equipment such as scanners, copiers, laptops and tablets.
 
Duties:
 • The Senior Administrative Analyst will assist in coordinating event plans and logistics through event completion.
 • Assist with implementing Development Services' fundraising strategies to increase supplemental funding for the Chesterfield County Public Library (CCPL).
 • In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, develop and solicit event sponsorships/ gift proposals to ensure CCPL fundraising events meet or exceed fundraising objectives.
 • Responsible for the development, maintenance and update of the Development Services Donors and Sponsors database.
 • Research information on potential programs, donations and sponsorships. Analyze and provide recommendations on future programs/events.
 • Assist with implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns and responsible for the development and implementation of social media content.
 • Organize and attend nonprofit events and network with relevant stakeholders.
 • Prepare and administer contracts for projects and programs including determining sources and vendors; coordinating activities; and tracking expenditures.
 • Compile information about events, participants, costs, and donors in a database.
 • Prepare documentation for programs, presentations, and events.
 • Prepare and present event-related data to internal management and external organizations.
 • Coordinate the administrative functions for events/programs including analysis, reconciliation, report preparation, and account/program monitoring.
 • Provide support to event committees.
 • Coordinate, develop, manage, and monitor event budgets.
 • Handle and secure confidential information.
 • Perform other work as required.
  
This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
 
Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
 
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work; light to moderate lifting is required; and, regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate. Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic); ability to work in a confined area; and the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
