Scope of Internship
We are seeking an experienced HR Intern to join our team! This an hourly position based at Roanoke Cement Company in Troutville, VA and reports to the Sr. HR Manager. This isn't your typical internship - it's a chance to dive headfirst into meaningful projects, gain hands-on experience, and make a real impact. Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Dive into the exciting world of recruitment! Help us find the best and brightest talent by posting job postings, conducting resume screenings and participating in interview sessions.
- Onboarding: Assist with improving onboarding process and ensure a smooth transition for our newest team members.
- Talent Development: Collaborate with our training team to support execution of learning experiences that empower our employees to reach their full potential.
- HR Analytics: Dive into our HR databases to analyze trends, spot opportunities for improvement and help us make data-driven decisions that drive our business forward.
- Culture: Assist with planning an executing exciting events and initiatives that foster a vibrant and inclusive company culture.
- Innovation Instigator: Bring fresh ideas to the table! Collaborate with our team to brainstorm creative solutions and challenge the status quo.
- Admin Support: Assist with keeping things running behind the scenes. Tackle a variety of administrative tasks, from organizing files (paper and e-files), to drafting communications and scheduling meetings.
