Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs, the job holder will be a current college graduate with a chemistry, environmental, or other technical degree. They will support global regulatory activities. This includes responsibility for evaluating raw material changes, authoring SDS (safety data sheet), and chemical data management. The job holder will support the Product Stewardship organization within R&D globally with responses to key stakeholders on regulatory questions. This position provides business support as it relates to product regulatory compliance including TSCA (in the USA) and REACh (in the EU). This position requires the ability to read and understand raw material safety data sheets to update the regulatory data used by the product stewardship organization. This position works with Commercial, Product Management, R&D, and Operations.
Accountabilities:
- Support chemical regulatory activities related to documentation including updating raw material information, communicating changes to raw material classifications, data management and updating the SDS system.
- Assist the Sr. Manager and other colleagues in Product Stewardship with timely and appropriate responses to SDS and regulatory inquiries from customers and key stakeholders including authoring SDS as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
- A BS degree or 1-3 years of experience in a technical discipline is required. Technical disciplines preferred include chemistry, chemical engineering, or an appropriate science related field. All training will be provided.
- A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in Product Stewardship, SDS Authoring, or Regulatory Affairs. Experience working with data management systems is required.
- A thorough understanding of Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams and Ability to learn specialized applications.
- Ability to use provided resources to gather data, analyze, and prioritize issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues in a manner that is easily understood by key stakeholders.
