SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for an experienced full stack software developer to join our team and develop in-house tools and other automation and AI-enabled business solutions.
Responsibilities: As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Working with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
- Designing client-side and server-side architecture
- Building the front-end of applications that are both functional and have an appealing visual design
- Developing and managing well-functioning databases and applications
- Testing software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading software
- Creating security and data protection settings
- Writing technical documentation
Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- Proficiency with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries
- Experience developing web-based applications
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., PHP, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, node.js)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be a self-starter
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Development experience using the Microsoft Power Platform applications
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience developing commercial software systems and/or tools
- Experience developing financial planning or business analysis systems
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is preferred but not required
Clearance: A DoD Clearance will not be required for this position. However, SimVentions is a DoD Cleared facility and all employees must maintain clearance eligibility
