Jabil’s Summer Internship Program in St. Petersburg Florida was recognized as one of the Top 100 Internship Programs in the country for 2023 by WayUp. This is the result of a holistic and engaging experience that summer interns at Jabil in St. Pete experienced. As a result, interns that are a part of this program for summer 2024 will get to engage with members of Jabil’s leadership team and participate in events related to professional development, networking & socializing, and community engagement. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to work with each other in committees, be assigned a Peer Partner (e.g., mentor), tour some of Jabil’s facilities and much more! Summary of Position

This role focuses on management reporting and financial planning. The intern will work closely with FP&A/Accounting teams and business partners to support reporting accurate actuals, forecast variances to budget; contribute to budgeting and strategic/financial planning process.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities
    * Support preparation of executive level reports and presentations
    * Assist with data extraction and analysis for executive and management reporting purposes
    * Assist in preparing enterprise forecasts and analyzing trends in sales, finance, and general business conditions
    * Support a variety of ad-hoc requests from executive leadership team
    * Measure Key Performance Indicators and recommend areas for improvement
    * Learn to clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around the business drivers behind financial data and implications on current and future results
    * Support evaluation and assessment of key operational issues, risks and business drivers pertaining to budget, actual results, and forecast updates.
    * Contribute to month-end close/reporting activities, investigations of significant variances, and communication of findings to key stakeholders.
    * Develop understanding of financial planning and ERP systems to enable and build reporting to support forecasting, close and variance to actuals analysis

Qualifications
    * Basic understanding of accounting principles
    * Basic critical thinking and analytical skills to help evaluate information received and identify critical trends in the information being reviewed
    * Basic understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting
    * Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
    * Experience with Power BI is Preferred
    * Previous internship preferred
    * Effective Communication
    * Self-starter – Ability to drive work

Education
    * Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s/Master's degree with a graduation date between May 2024 to Dec 2024
    * Preferred Majors: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and other related majors 
    * GPA: 3.0+  
    * Must be available to work in St. Petersburg Florida from May 20, 2024 – Aug 9, 2024
