Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Senior Financial Reporting Analyst (Onsite-Hybrid)

Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union is seeking a results-oriented Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst to join our diverse team. This financial professional will contribute to the success of the organization by assisting management with the financial and regulatory reporting processes for the Credit Union.  Our Reporting Analyst will be responsible for researching reporting issues, compiling reports, supporting ad hoc analysis, maintaining reporting documentation and helping to ensure database integrity.

The reporting functions include but are not limited to: Call Reports, audited financial statements, monthly close, budgeting, asset liability management and rate analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide support to the review and preparation of monthly financial statements and related board reports.
  • Responsible for the quarterly compilation and filing of the NCUA Call Report. Must review and research reporting issues and maintain appropriate work papers.
  • Prepares selected footnotes for the audited financial statements and maintains appropriate work papers.
  • Attends quarterly ALCO meetings and maintains meeting minutes.
  • Maintains the Visible Equity database for annual footnote disclosures. Helps ensure data integrity and validate data reported. Successful database management is an ongoing responsibility that requires anticipation of reporting issues and proactive collaboration with internal providers of information to avoid reporting problems.
  • Maintains the Visible Equity database for Loan Loss Analysis (CECL). Helps ensure data integrity and validate data reported. Supports external audit requests and helps maintain modeling documentation for review.
  • Supports the VP of Finance in preparation of annual budget, including product analysis, projections and report preparation.
  • Performs month end activities related to the accrual of credit card interest and rewards liability, as well as reconciliation of the related accounts. Maintains promotional adjustments to members’ Reward accounts as appropriate.
  • Supports Ad Hoc data requests from within the Credit Union in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supports the design and development of departmental tools to aid in the efficiency and accuracy of day-to-day procedures.
  • Performs and assists with complex or sensitive card processing functions as required.  Performs miscellaneous card processing duties as needed.

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of Finance or Accounting.  A minimum of three years of related experience in a similar financial institution or relevant reporting role is preferred.  The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of accounting systems.  Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required. 

 The salary range of $80k – 90K is commensurate with experience.
