Marketing Intern

Marketing Intern Position Description


 

ABOUT: The Park City Angels are a group of 85+ accredited investors located in Park City, Utah. We look to invest in promising opportunities that can produce significant shareholder return. The active lifestyle of Park City has attracted many dynamic and successful business leaders that have deep experience in building world class businesses. We facilitate unique, high-caliber networking and development forums for angel investors and mentors involved in early-stage investment.


 

POSITION: The Marketing Intern has the responsibilities stated below. It is estimated to take between 10-16 hours per month to complete these tasks. Most months will require ~10 hours of work. Some months with designated special projects (an annual report in January/February, etc.) may require increased invoiced time. Any change to the monthly average hours (10) will be agreed in writing between PCA and Contractor. If actual time commitment significantly differs from this estimate, PCA and Contractor will discuss. 


 

COMPENSATION: $20.00/hr


 

  • Managing all marketing platforms (website, MailChimp email campaigns, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram/Threads) to ensure consistent messaging and frequent updates. Drafting 2-3 posts each month and releasing on all platforms. 


 

  • Communicating with portfolio companies to solicit updates and finalize postings.


 

  • Executing and managing the Park City Angels LinkedIn Advertising Campaign. Ensuring performance is maximized and a strict budget is adhered to.


 

  • Analyzing social media metrics and preparing a comprehensive marketing summary each month.


 

  • In conjunction with the Park City Angels Board and each portfolio company, developing marketing campaigns to increase public awareness of Park City Angels and promote the investments in its portfolio companies, and any significant activities, such as new outside investments or exits. 


 

  • Developing & releasing ‘tombstones’, obtaining approval of the PCA Board Member directing marketing (Pamela Stevenson) and coordinating with entrepreneurs to gain approval prior to release.


 

  • Tracking & analyzing marketing metrics and communicating that analysis and making recommendations to the Board at the Executive Board meeting, and via the “PCA Marketing Metrics” dashboard.


 

  • Attending PCA events (General Meeting, Screening Meetings, Education Sessions) to create marketing content. All event attendance must be pre-approved.


 

  • Drafting a comprehensive annual report to summarize social media performance. Occasionally, drafting press releases for Park City Angels.

 

  • Maintaining the Park City Angels Website via Wix. Additionally, updating the Park City Angels Website with new information and press releases.


 

  • Planning and carrying out special projects (ex: communicating with local media, updating portfolio dashboard on website, drafting articles, etc.).


 

  • Developing new marketing initiatives and bringing them to the attention of the PCA Board.
