Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Mobile App Developer position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location.The Senior Mobile App Developer will be responsible for creating clean and scalable mobile app software. Attention to detail is vital, along with a passion for creating high quality and beautiful mobile applications. This candidate must have experience working on react native code for both iOS and Android. 

May include:

  • Work as part of a small team to build React Native iOS / Android applications
  • Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code
  • Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs
  • Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience
  • Integrate third-party API's
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores
  • Work with native modules when required
  • Work as part of a small team, which will include other React Native developers, a project manager, QA professional, and a designer
  • Complete two-week sprints, and participate in sprint retrospectives and daily standups
  • Assist with building estimates
  • Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Nature & Scope:

  • Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code
  • Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs
  • Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience
  • Integrate third-party API's
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience working with Swift, Objective C, and Java a plus but not required
  • Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems
  • Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon, both in regards to estimates and to the general process

Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience working with React Native (apps).
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience working with Swift, Objective C, and Java a plus but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of the following:
    • Developing modern JavaScript framework: React, Angular, Vue (or similar frameworks)
    • Application development, including services development in Java (or similar OO languages)
  • Data modeling and backend data stores, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or DynamoDB (or similar data stores)

Education:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
