Modeling and Simulation Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Conduct analysis of military mission capabilities using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) software and support government studies and other warfighting analyses. The projects will range from short duration problem-solving to lengthy projects to understand and analyze complex warfighting scenarios. Apply structured problem solving, operations research techniques, warfare modeling, and functional and mission level analysis to examine high-priority challenges. The research and analysis tasks frequently will require rapid starts on topics with limited established work, requiring development of new techniques or applying techniques to new problems. Assist in educating government analysts on the latest methods and techniques for modeling and simulation.

 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of experience with modeling and quantitative analysis
  • 1+ years of experience with independent work using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) software and modeling and simulation methods
  • Experience supporting DoD force sizing, shaping, and capability analysis
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages and environments such as Python, Java, C++, C#, R, MATLAB, or Simulink
  • Ability to leverage problem solving for assigned tasks, and display a willingness to learn and apply new methods, as needed
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field

 

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Top Secret clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
