Tutor Intern
Education:
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
• Must have 12 or more semester units in Early Childhood/Child Development.
• Must be enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Early Childhood/Child Development with grades of C or better.
Additional Requirements:
• Meet Live Scan requirements.
• Ability to relate and communicate with children and families.
• Successful experience working with children in a multi-cultural setting (Preferred).
Schedule:
• Part-time/ 20 hours

• Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat
• 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
NOTES: The Tutor Intern position is for current undergraduate students.
This is a temporary position for approximately two (2) years. The work location will be the KP Irwindale location, and in the summer the work site will be the Baldwin Park Teen Center.
Primary role is ability to relate and communicate with children starting from ages 3-5, as well as ages 6-12. The program content may vary from reading, math tutoring to half-day camp activities. Flexibility to adapt to different programs is essential.
