Manufacturing Engineer Intern
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Bastian Solutions Inc. in Greenfield, Indiana will learn and support our Custom Automation Operations to better serve for our customers. This Manufacturing Engineer will also be collaborating with internal stakeholders for flow of materials, production, and manufacturing processes.
Job Functions:
- Material Flow supporting Plan for Every Part Concept
- Develop visual aids and work instructions for engineering and other functions, as assigned
- Assist quality by measuring manufactured parts, comparing accuracy to part drawings, and developing quality plans/procedures
- Assist in design/drawing creation for engineered products and system using 3D modeling software
- Assist with creation of a Value Stream Mapping (VSM) current vs optimal
- Assist in product performance testing and analysis of failed products
- Adhering to all assembly safety standards
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills, especially with formulas, data manipulation is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of a 3D modeling software package specifically SolidWorks, is highly preferred
- Previous experience using calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc. is highly preferred
- Strong, organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills is required
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of MRP tools for planning/scheduling, preferred
- Possible limited travel to locations within our region to learn customer requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship
