Girls Get Math Undergraduate Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

  • Seeking self‐motivated, team-oriented, organized student employee who possesses superior customer service skills. 
  • Will work 40 hours during the week of June 10-15 plus an additional 20-30 hours prepping for the event
  • Must have completed EDUC 464: Methods and Materials for teaching mathematics.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with the directors and fellow Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) to prepare and help run the Girls Get Math event. TW
  • Strengthen students’ knowledge and skills through one-on-one & small group collaborations. C, PA, TW, CT/PS
  • Review event materials to further their own knowledge of the content presented at the event. SR, PA
  • Share their perspective and offering suggestions to improve students’ learning and experience at Girls Get Math. SR

Required Skills – Good customer service skills, able to work with a diverse student population, reliable. TW, V, PA

Preferred Skills – Work independently and efficiently. CT
